The Town Office processes property taxes, vehicle registrations, recreational vehicle registrations, voter registrations, dog licensing, marriage licenses, death and birth certificates and hunting & fishing licenses.

Town office hours are 8AM – 4PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

The Selectmen’s office processes water & sewer payments, building permits, electrical permits, plumbing permits, occupancy permits, code enforcement issues, photo copies, ambulance payments, cemetery lot purchases, assessors information.

Selectmen’s office hours are 7AM – 3PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

PLANNING BOARD

Working in conjunction with the Code Enforcement Officer, the Planning Board consists of five members, all appointed by the Selectmen.  Their role has been valuable in advising and assisting Town Officials with planning strategies and recommendations.  The Planning Board is responsible for reviewing zoning ordinances, keeping ordinances current, making & recommending zoning changes to the Selectmen, and reviewing permits.

ZONING 

A five-member Board of Appeals, appointed by the Selectmen, hears appeals from persons aggrieved by any decision of the Code Enforcement Officer or by the Planning Board.  Copies of all ordinances are available for inspection at the Town Office and Selectmen’s Office or may be purchased for a nominal charge. 

PERMITS 

Land Use Permits are needed for New Construction, Extensions, Renovations, etc.  Also, Internal Plumbing  & Electrical permits are available.
