The Administrative departments of the town of East
Millinocket are dedicated to meeting the needs of the people of this unique community. We

The Town Office processes property taxes,
vehicle registrations, recreational vehicle registrations, voter registrations, dog
licensing, marriage licenses, death and birth certificates and hunting & fishing
licenses.

permits, plumbing permits, occupancy permits, code enforcement issues, photo copies,
ambulance payments, cemetery lot purchases, assessors information.

PLANNING BOARD
Working in
conjunction with the Code Enforcement Officer, the Planning Board consists of five
members, all appointed by the Selectmen.
Their
role has been valuable in advising and assisting Town Officials with planning strategies
and recommendations.
The Planning Board is
responsible for reviewing zoning ordinances, keeping ordinances current, making &
recommending zoning changes to the Selectmen, and reviewing permits.

ZONING
A
five-member Board of Appeals, appointed by the Selectmen, hears appeals from persons
aggrieved by any decision of the Code Enforcement Officer or by the Planning Board.
Copies of all ordinances are available for
inspection at the Town Office and Selectmens Office or may be purchased for a
nominal charge.
PERMITS
Land Use
Permits are needed for New Construction, Extensions, Renovations, etc.
Also, Internal Plumbing
& Electrical permits are
available.
