                    on Orchard Street

11 a.m.     Children's Old Fashion Games and Hot Dog Roast

12 p.m.     Greased Pig Contest and an official Children's Hose Down
Sponsor East Millinocket Fire Department

1 p.m.      Slide Show - Opal Myrick classroom with Mr.Harry Rush town
history and Schenck class nights from years past and a
presentation on the SS Groves.

2 p.m.      Children's Concert featuring John Tercyak
                     sponsor Katahdin Press 
                
       With 25 years of performing John will entertain with guitar,
                     fiddle and vocals.  The concert will be made up of songs
                     selected by the audience from his preselected list.

 3 p.m.      Contest Hot Dog and Watermelon Eating 
sponsor Doe's Dogs

4 p.m.      Trolley Rides
sponsor Arthur York and The Katahdin Cultural Center

4 p.m.     Karaoke by "Starring You Karaoke" with Michelle and John
    Sheehan

4 p.m.    Public Supper Spaghetti

6 p.m.     Children's Parade around Opal Myrick Park

Thursday July 12

7 a.m.     Public Breakfast at St.Peters Catholic Church Parish Center on                               North Street   

8 a.m.     Katahdin Region Yard Sale - List of participants available at the
Town Office in East Millinocket.

9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Mill Tours Tours will leave from the main gate, 53 Main
Street hourly and all visitors must be signed in before the tour
leaves.  Proper attire required. (NO OPEN TOE SHOES)
Katahdin Paper Company, East Millinocket

12 p.m.    Concert featuring Dot and the Has Beens 
     Under the direction of Mel Gatch and with Dot Kelly on
     the Piano and Keyboard this 18 member band brings us
     songs from the early 1900's.

 1 p.m.   Children's Bounce House

1 p.m.   Book sale and signing Children's Author Rick McAtee will be at the
East Millinocket Public Library for a book reading, sale and signing.

3 p.m.   Millinocket Players Old Time Radio Show

 Friday July 13 

 

 7:30 a.m. Public Breakfast at First Baptist Church on 2 Oak Street

8:30 a.m. Golf Tournament at Hillcrest Golf Course in Millinocket.  The
event will have prizes for low score, closest to pin and door
prizes.  Lunch will be available.  The cost is $23 which includes
entry fee, green fee, cart rental and closest to the pin.
The course opens on April 16 and to make reservations
call 723-8410 from 7:30 to 7:30.

Born in Maine Stevei has recorded 4 country albums and 1 gospel
album.  Stevie is a true counrty gentleman with charm and love
for the music and fans.  He's livin and lovin a country music dream.

 2 p.m.    Concert featuring The Mark Miller Band
Originally from East Millinocket Mark and the band will bring a
great time with country, jazz, blues and folk music.

    This 4 piece band will bring a wide selection of music from the                    1940's to present day songs.

 9:30 p.m. Fireworks best viewed on old Main Street and at the new
                     Veterans Memorial Park on Rt 157

Saturday July 14 

7 a.m.    Public Breakfast at Living Hope Church of the Nazarene on Palm St.

10 a.m.    Parade Our grand parade will leave the Town Garage on Church
Street, go down Cone Street to Main Street and go the length
of town to Crandalls Hardware. For more information call Kelly
at 746-9982 anytime or Susan at 746-5563 after 8 PM or
weekends.

11 a.m.    Fun Day featuring crafters, food vendors, carnival games, climbing                      wall, car show, pictorial postmark booth and much more. 

11 a.m.    Maine Army National Guard climbing wall and driving simulator

12 p.m.    Concert featuring "The Blue Ox Ramblers" local musicans to have
a great time with!

12:30 p.m.  Cake Cutting

1 p.m.     Dance Routine Back Door Dancer 
This team of 8 dancers from Bangor, Maine will dazzle you
with ballroom and swing dancing.

2 p.m.      Concert featuring Half Moon Jug Band 
The Half Moon Jug Band is a four-headed monster of folk music whose live show resembles a runaway freight train plowing straight through a rubber chicken factory. They play banjos, guitars and mandolins, but don't confuse them with a bluegrass band because they've also got a drummer and electric bass. They round out their sound with strong vocals, trumpet, kazoo and the occasional raspberry.

5 p.m.    Concert featuring Lee Southard
With 25 years of original song writing about Maine this will be a
great time as Lee plays keyboard, trumpet and songs.

5 p.m.    Open House Schenck High School

7 p.m.   Alumni Welcoming Ceremony, Mr. Harry A.M. Rush Jr., Master of Ceremony, at the Schenck High School  Gymnasium. Class reunion fellowship social time held  in various classrooms

           Lynn Hale, Riverview Portraits will be taking class portraits during
the reunion social time and alumni dance.
Cost is $20 each and includes shipping!    

           Schenck Year Books Old Copies of the Katahdin Chronicle will be on sale in the lobby during the alumni festivities. Cost $20   

9 p.m.    Alumni Dance in the Schenck High School Gymnasium
featuring "The Big Chief"  Free Admission

7:30 a.m.  Public Breakfast at the First Congregational Church on Maple
                    Street

10 a.m.   Worship and Gospel sing-along service
