Students attend School Union 113 for their education. The Union is made up of the
towns of East Millinocket, Medway and Woodville. Students attend school at either
Medway Middle School or Schenck High School/Opal Myrick School.

Schenck High School was built in 1957. In 1958 students from Medway began attending Schenck. With growing enrollment
a new addition was added to Schenck in 1966. In 2011 due to declining
enrollment Opal Myrick Elementary students were moved to Schenck High School.

Established in 1987, in an effort to
meet your educational needs, a unique partnership was formed between Eastern Maine
Community College and the University of Maine System. The Center offers courses for
certificate, associate, bachelor, and master programs. For business and industry, we
provide customized training, including Zenger-Miller and apprenticeship training
information. The Center is located on Rt. 157, in the Katahdin Regional Industrial
