Welcome to East Millinocket, Maine

East Millinocket means East of "many islands" in the language of Maine’s Abenaki people. The town lies on the northern side of the West Branch of the Penobscot River, sixty miles north of Bangor.

This rural Northern Maine community has a population of 1860 people, rich in many different ethnic backgrounds.  With an interesting history of being started around the business of papermaking to moving into the 21st century with many ideas of economic development, we welcome you.
