Our festivities started off with a cake cutting on February 2007, the official incorporation date of our town.

Our official celebration began on July 11 and was 5 days of festivities that many will remember for a life time.  Every day was started with a breakfast at one of the many churches in our town.  Everyone gathered for a great meal and fellowship time each day.

As the day progressed activities filled the area of The Opal Myrick Park.  There were concerts, contest, vendors with food and baked goods and much more.
A presentation of the towns history, Schenck High School class nights of the past, a history of Great Northern Paper Company and a presentation on the USS Stephen W. Groves (FFG 29)  was set up in the Opal Myrick School and many viewed and reminisced about the "years gone by".

Friends and families gathered together to talk over "old times", classmates saw fellow classmates that they hadn't seen for years, and many memories were made to talk about for the years to come.

Thank you everyone for all that you did to make this a time that "Our Town" will always remember!
