Town of East Millinocket, Maine
The Town of East Millinocket is seeking a motivated, dependable individual to join our Water & Wastewater Utilities Department as a Utilities Operator I.
The successful candidate will assist with the operation, maintenance, repair, and construction of the Town's drinking water distribution system and wastewater collection and treatment systems.
Duties include operating equipment, repairing water and sewer infrastructure, collecting water quality samples, maintaining utility facilities, responding to emergencies, and participating in an on-call rotation.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Valid Maine Class C Driver's License and ability to be insured under the Town's vehicle insurance policy. Class B preferred by not required.
· Experience in water, wastewater, construction, public works, mechanical maintenance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
· Maine Water Operator License and Maine Wastewater Operator License are preferred; however, the Town is willing to train the right candidate and assist with obtaining required certifications.
